Let's get this thing rolling okay?!

Hey everyone,

So we are in florence right now (BTW..if there are weird symbols on this it is because of the weird keyboard they have over here). Okay..if uve seen us online its because weve been lucky enough to get free internet at the last two hostels we have stayed in. Geoffrey and Brian have been keeping daily written journals and i have been keeping a brief journal in between cities..of course i decided not to write a daily journal because we all know how good i am at that. Anyways, have a bit of free time here so gonna tell you what weve been up to. Hope Bernice and some people still check this.

July 1 - Today was our second day in Florence. In Rome we decided to take an extra day in florence and one less in venice so that we could take a day trip to the leaning tower of pisa. I donàt think that a person could possibly spend a day in pisa. Yesterday I saw a girl checking out a website for the west cost of italy, a town called "cinque terre"..i think cinque meaning 5 and terre meaning villages or cities..because there are 5 little villages in the area. We set off at 7 this morning to catch a 7:10 train to pisa where we spent about an hour an half..and yes we did the tour, took pictures, and the works all in less than two hours..hahaha. We then caught a 10:40 train to monterosso..the largest of the 5 villages in cinque terre. We got there and as always the weather is beautiful here. It has been basically +30 degrees everyday! We went to the beach and unfortunately had to pay 7 euros for a freakin beach chair..hahaha. We basically vegetated all day and I went swimming in the mediterranean a couple of times (geoffrey didnàt go in and b went in for a couple of minutes before we left). It was really nice to just relax today after +6 hours of walking everyday for the past 4 days or so. Brian ended up burning himself a lil and is pretty red now. After tanning we ate at a restaurant at the beachside. B and I had "gnocchi" with different sauces..I had a lobster sauce and B had a presto sauce. Geoff had lasagna with a presto sauce. We werenàt too impressed. Anyways, we got home..watched the football (soccer) game in the common area and basically now we are getting ready for bed. Apparently Geoff and I snore pretty loud with geoff leading the way as he ALWAYS falls alseep within 20 minutes of the touching down! So that was our day.

we missed Canada Day but we are all thinking about you at home. Okay..i wrote a lot..iàll stop there..miss all of you!

YUP!!! I think it's about time for my monthly update! Just because Bern said that it was. She said that I can't be a blogger because I don't have blogger characteristics in me. She might be right.

Anyways...if you've all been wondering what I've been up, you should keep on wondering. JUST KIDDING! PREPARING FOR EUROPE!!! It's less than two weeks away. We're leaving on June 25th and will be back on July 18th so everyone that wants to greet us at the airport, you're more than free to do so! We've basically booked all our travel arrangements including airfare and rail passes...and almost all our accomodation arrangements! I bought a $200 back pack for the trip..YEAH..hahaha. Besides the trip, not much has been going on. I'm working for the summer still at Boxing. Softball wuz fun yesterday! I won't talk about it though cuz all we did for the whole night was talk about it. Makes you wonder how much you can actually talk about it?! Oh yes, CONVOCATION is happening this Wednesday. YES I FINALLY GRADUATED!!!

Hmm, I think I should get back to work! Bye for now!

Here I am again...months after I said I would continue. Oh man..I totally forgot, until Bern reminded me. So let's see..updates updates. MEL got MSN at work so it's been kinda fun talking to her while we're both at work. YES..i'm finishing my work though! I'll be continuing on at Boxing Ontario for the summer. It works out well for me because hopefully i'll get paid a little and they don't have a problem with me going away to Europe for 3 weeks. Which reminds me I think i should pick up a second part-time job...NO MONEY!!! We finally bought our plane tickets last week for about $800. Pretty good considering we thought we'd be playing $1200. It works out to about that much anyways to get into France (we're flying into england). We still have a lot of stuff to plan such as our itenerary so if you know any good places to go in Europe please let us know!

I'm pretty much done school. Finished exams 2 weeks ago. Finished my internship report last weekend and finished my thesis revisions last night (SLEEPY NOW!!!). All i have left are a couple of annual general meetings, one this weekend for my school program..BORING!!! Then graduating in June. I can't believe it..oops, that's pending on if I pass my excercise physiology course..EVERYONE KEEP YOUR FINGERS CROSSED!!!! That's about it for now.

March 16...
it's really getting down to crunch time. My first draft of my thesis was finally completed last Thursday..that was truly a miracle..hahaha. Our group stayed at school till about 6:30 am when I had to go from YORK all the way to a Kinko's at Yonge and Eglinton to get it binded then head over to drop it off at my professor's house. It was a crazy night.

Friday wasn't much better, I had to go into work in the morning as usual and around noon my dad called me and told me that my grandma in Malaysia passed away that morning. It was hard for my dad needless to say and I went over to his house on Friday night for dinner. It's the first dad i've ever seen my dad cry like that when he talked to his older brother. Please drop my dad a line if you get the chance because I'm sure he would love to hear from all of you (dmychin@rogers.com). It was also hard for me because I didn't get a chance to see my grandma before she passed away and it has been about 3 years since I last saw her. I talked to her every couple of months or so to say hi but my dad always told me to call her by myself to talk to her because you never know when something is gonna happen, but of course I never did.

ANYWAYS, on Saturday evening I went to Cobourg to visit my girlfriend and in the middle of the night her sister let their two dogs outside but fell asleep. In the morning the dogs were gone and they assumed that they were just out and about. Unfortunately, on Monday morning, they got a call telling them that one of the dogs was found dead on the road and was hit by a car. The other dog returned safely to the house the night before. It was definitely a difficult weekend to bear. I hope all of yours were better than mine!

22 hours and counting...
1st draft of our thesis is due. Well it was supposed to be due today at 6pm but somehow we got some kind of extension until noon on Friday. What am I doing? Well, Tennis Canada is our sponsor and we are basically looking to change their membership structure because it's so screwed up right now. Basically they have 11 members who are the provinces of Canada but we/they want to change it so that they gain individual membership instead of having only the provinces as the members. Does that make sense?!

So anyways, we're about 1/2 way done I think. Why does my whole group have to be constant procrastinators. Why couldn't I just have been in a group with hard working people because everyone knows how big of a procrastinator I am!!! =)

AGEEEE..when are we going to go work out??!?!? My lean, muscle clad body is starting to disentegrate!!!!

OKAY!!! I know i'm gonna get into MONSTER trouble here seeing how I haven't posted for a good two months. But you know me..once I heard Nathania was stopping it was good invitation for me too. But actually I can't believe it's already been two months. Where has all the time gone?

You're probably all wondering what is going on with me so let me just update you okay?!?!

1) This week I'm SUPER SUPER busy!!! I have a Excercise Physiology midterm on Wednesday and the first draft of our thesis paper is due on Thursday. So needless to say the next couple of nights will be all-nighters!

2) Badminton - I've been playing in a lot of tournaments on the weekends which is probably why you haven't seen me around. This past weekend I played at Humber College as part of a team event with my friends that we ended up winning...sucked cuz we didn't even get any prizes.

3) social life - yes, by now you have probably all heard that I have a girlfriend. Yes yes yes..her name is Adrienne..she's 20..she lives in Cobourg..don't ask me how we met..she's working right now and going to start school in September at Windsor. What else? Some of you have met her already so why don't you tell me what you think!

WHAT ELSE!?!? That's pretty much it. I'm tired..OH YeAH..I'm interning at Boxing Ontario now. What the heck is that??!?! Boxing Ontario is the provincial sports governing body of amateur boxing in Ontario. I work there 3-4 days a week but I don't get paid which kinda sux...cuz I HAVE NO MONEY!?!?

Geoff, Brian, and I are supposed to go to Europe but I don't even know where I'm going to get my money from!!! Oh wellz..let me a note or something and I'll get back to you oka?!?! Miss you alL! PROMISE
